Candidate will work in a MAJCOM staff role and be responsible for managing the development, acquisition and fielding of advanced concepts for AFGSC bombers. Candidate will investigate current and future program capability needs, will assist in developing and advocating for AFGSC bomber priorities, and will work with program offices to develop and acquire next generation bomber technologies. This activity includes tracking and analyzing trends; participating in and supporting war gaming activities; developing user requirements; and other key issues by applying acquisition, requirements, mission planning knowledge and operational experiences. The candidate shall assist in developing, preparing and monitoring applicable bomber CONEMPS/CONOPS, as well as JCIDS and PPBE documents/processes/activities related to AFGSC bomber programs. The candidate will work closely with bomber platforms Weapon System Teams (WST) and System Program Offices (SPO) to coordinate the development of new systems, retrofit of advanced technologies and modifications to existing systems and to identify/resolve problems associated with and related to system deficiencies. The position requires frequent travel to provide command inputs for advanced program acquisition decisions through technical interchanges and meetings with contractors, Program Managers, other MAJCOMs and HAF. Candidate must be a high-performer, comfortable operating in multidisciplinary teams of industry, government and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, scientists, pilots and other aircrew.
Candidate must have a background in bomber operations. Candidate must have knowledge and understanding of national, DoD and US Air Force statutory and regulatory policies, directives and procedures relating to acquisition, PPBE and JCIDS activities. Eighteen (18) months Special Access Program (SAP) experience is required. Candidate must have a strong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills. The successful candidate should have good analytic skills, be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment, and must have strong verbal and written communications skills. Candidate must be able to travel monthly.
Candidate should have experience in bomber operations to include tactics and weapons employment. USAF Weapons School Graduate highly desired. Prior wargaming experience and CONOPS/CONEMP development experience highly desired. Candidates should have recent HAF/MAJCOM/NAF experience and knowledge and understanding of the development/staffing/approval of JCIDS documents and experience with PPBE activities including the development of POM inputs is highly desired.

Must be a US Citizen possessing an active Top Secret SCI Security Clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), SSBI Periodic Reinvestigation (SSBI-PR), or a Phased Periodic Reinvestigation or equivalent investigation current within 6 years. Additionally, requires (18) months experience working with Special Access Programs. Candidate will be subject to a polygraph and drug testing upon request as a condition of employment.
