JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: Broadcast IT Technician – Level III (Riverside, CA)
General Description of the Position’s function and purpose: To provide entry level maintenance and engineering support to radio and television broadcast equipment and related networks located in Riverside, CA.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required by the job:
Must have basic knowledge of signal flow, use and maintenance of digital television and radio equipment in all categories, including video processing, switching and storage systems.
Must have a basic knowledge of IT computer systems, networks, network shares, routers and switches, FTP and file base workflows and general security.
Must have an understanding of FCC Rules and Regulations relating to radio, television and satellite broadcast (including NTSC Standards).
Must have knowledge of standard safety regulations and precautions.
Must be able to comprehend schematic diagrams, block diagrams and wiring drawings.
Shall communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Qualifications – Minimum Required:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified by CompTIA Network+ (or equivalent) within six months of hire.
- Certified in Broadcast Electronics or proven experience/ability to troubleshoot to component level within one year of hire.
General:This position is subject to random drug testing.
Base Pay rate will be in accordance with the latest Department of Labor Wage Determination on the contract and shift differential and/or Sunday premium will apply, when appropriate.
Shift assignments and days off will be subject to operational necessity.
This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Tier 1 background check.
Interview process includes a Broadcast/IT-related competency test.
