BUILDING INSPECTOR II-P/T at City of Newport Beach, CA

The City of Newport Beach is seeking two part-time Building Inspector II's to join our team. This position may work up to 30 hours per week. Check out our video to see what it's like working for the City!

Selection Components:

• Application Evaluation: The first review of applications will be completed on December 17, 2020.  Candidates are required to submit a resume detailing their related experience along with a completed online application in order for the application package to be considered complete. Applicants that apply after the first review are not guaranteed to be considered for this recruitment. This recruitment may close at any time without notice after the first review date. 
• Virtual Oral Interview:  Those candidates deemed most qualified as reflected in their application will be invited to a virtual oral interview, tentatively scheduled for the week of January 13, 2021. Passing applicants will be placed on an eligibility list that may be used to fill future part-time vacancies as they occur.  

The City offers an excellent benefit package and membership in the California Public Employees' Retirement Systems (CalPERS) Retirement formula is based on appointment date and membership status with CalPERS and the employee is required to contribute 13% of pay toward retirement costs.
