We are currently searching for a Business Development Manager to sit in our Bohemia NY location. We are also open to remote candidates but strongly prefer a candidate with access to one of our ProAV offices (NY FL MD)
Responsible for Pro Audio Visual manufacturer-specific relationships sales and growth. Responsible for driving revenue and acting as technical subject matter expert for a specific product lines/brands and also has a vertical channel focus. Support vendors in bringing their product(s) to market.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Align manufacturer strategy with overall ProAV business strategy. Develop action plans to ensure ongoing growth and profitability within the region.
- Work with Marketing Department to coordinate effective initiatives to drive sales
- Work with Product Management to identify future demand to maintain inventory levels
- Work with Almo’s reseller customers as a technical specialist at the project level assisting in designing and specifying key product lines.
- Assist Almo’s sales team in closing sales of key product lines including joint sales calls and customer site visits.
- Identify potential new business opportunities and interface between manufacturer Marketing and Sales.
- Provide industry insight and market information through written communications for both internal and external publications.
- Sound analysis and critical decision-making skills
- CTS certification required within six months of employment.
- Minimum of 5 years of technical sales/product/strategic management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multi-task and exceed customer expectations and responsiveness and prioritize
- Ability to network within a customer organization to identify all key influencers and decision makers
- Travel is required for this role with a minimum of once a quarter.
- SalesForce AS400 and Pivot Tables experience a plus
- Ability to travel 25-30% as needed (tradeshows conferences business meetings etc.)
