In this unique internal consulting role, you will be a key member of the Global Supply Chain Centers of Excellence team at our Tinley Park, Illinois, World Headquarters. Your business and financial analysis and subsequent recommendations will improve the financial performance for our global operations. You will interact with sales, accounting, finance, demand planning, and our two business units to make recommendations for forecasting, business decisions, strategy, business planning, and process improvements. This is a position where your combination of strong business and financial acumen and your interpersonal skills will open many doors and allow you to make a significant contribution to our evolving company.
As our Business and Financial Planning Analyst, your main mission will be to contribute to our business success as you understand and interpret financial transactions and critical events while enabling operations management to make effective business decisions. Your strong critical thinking and communication skills will enable you to act as a liaison and partner with finance, sales, supply chain, business unit leaders, operating divisions, and various product groups by providing expert financial guidance. You will develop custom dashboards and accurate reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis for our sales operations and planning processes and for our overall business strategy. You'll illustrate and explain your data-based recommendations to management and challenge them to improve profitability. Your expertise with budgeting and planning software, with tools such as Oracle Business Objects, Hyperion, Excel, PowerPoint presentations and with the entire Microsoft Office suite will equip you to create clarifying reports that assist the managers you support with intelligent and productive decision making.
Our ideal Business and Financial Analyst will have a Bachelor's Degree in finance, supply chain, or a related discipline. An MBA or Master's Degree and supply chain certifications are desirable but not required. You will have experience in a business and financial analysis role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, advising senior management on strategic planning, process improvements, and implementation of revenue-building processes. You will have a demonstrable track record of increased revenue due to your recommendations. You will have in-depth experience with financial data, record keeping, forecasting, modeling, annual business planning and cost/benefit analysis, using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and your ability to understand general ledgers and complex business transactions. Excellent communication skills, training experience, and facilitation and presentation expertise will round out your list of strengths.
