Lynden Incorporated is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst who will provide all aspects of support for 3rd party software systems, including system selection, design, installation, configuration, day-to-day support, vendor management, upgrades and patch application. We want someone who will work closely with business teams to develop and maintain the necessary configuration of these systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide internal consulting and production support of various 3rd party software modules.
Coordinate with vendors, end-users, and system administrators and installing patches and service packs and testing of system upgrades and patch installations.
Lead major upgrades or installations of 3rd party software systems and coordinating with the various parties involved.
Work with business teams to develop requirements for modifications and provide solutions, with associated estimate of effort, to address the request.
Perform software configuration, basic fixes and data maintenance of 3rd party software systems.
Troubleshoot issues through discussion with process owners, end-users, and IT personnel, including problem recognition, research, and resolution.
Perform problem identification, root cause analysis and user training to prevent problem reoccurrence and knowledge transfer. Escalate problems to appropriate IT or vendor support.
Create and manage CASES, searching to find solutions using the Vendor’s Support portal, knowledge base or community forum.
Assist developers and end-users in creating test scripts and the testing of software changes.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis in technology and 2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to communicate free of technical language to the business and end-user.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Experience in integration with various technologies with multiple vendors or custom applications. Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, collaboration skills and multi-tasking. Ability to support and configure complex applications. Ability to quickly and independently learn changing technological development and operating environment. Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills, including the ability to communicate to multiple levels of the organization and with non-technical partners to derive technical requirements and priorities. Experience providing technical guidance for users and team members. Experience in Integration architecture and tools such as SFTP, XML, or PGP encryption.
Preferential consideration for someone with experience in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server, Microsoft Windows Servers, Microsoft Task Scheduler, and other Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, or Visio.
