The Cardiac Rehab Clinician is a registered nurse or clinical exercise physiologist with clinical experience in cardiovascular patient care with expertise in patient education. The Cardiac Rehab Clinician is responsible for case management of cardiac patients enrolled in cardiac rehabilitation, which includes assessing patient needs (clinical, health, and behavioral), implementing a treatment plan, providing education, evaluating patient's progress, and discharge planning based on progress towards treatment plan goals. Provides direct supervision of patient during exercise sessions.
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current license to practice professional nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama OR possess a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, or equivalent and be certified as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine. Two (2) years cardiac rehabilitation experience is required.
