Pratt and Whitney, a subsidiary of UTC, is a world leader in the design, manufacture and support of engines for commercial, military and regional aircrafts, as well as a leader in the production of space propulsion systems. The Materials & Processes group is looking for a talented engineering student to work as a Summer Intern in the development and production of cast engines. During this internship, you may be responsible for supporting commercial and military programs to address various materials and chemical processing needs. Specific tasks may include metallurgical testing and evaluation, pilot testing of chemical processes and coating property analysis. The internship participant will also document and analyze data/results, prepare reports, draw conclusions and make recommendations based on their findings.
Qualification: Interest in building a technical or management career in applied materials development and materials/hardware characterization. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
Education: Candidates should be pursuing a BS degree Materials Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering with a minimum 3.0 grade point average
