Job Summary: The Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for the care of injured athletes, from adolescents to geriatrics, at community sporting events and on the practice/ playing field. The Certified Athletic Trainer assesses, instructs and treats athletes with movement dysfunction and physical disability caused by pain or injury. The Certified Athletic Trainer administers immediate first aid care and develops a treatment program based on the nature of the injury, including follow-up with physician as appropriate. The trainer communicates with the injured athlete, physician, coach, and family as appropriate.
- 1 year experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer
- Bachelors degree from an accredited program
- An advance knowledge of performance training standards is required
- Knowledge of scope of practice based on state practice act
- Basic Life Support/ CPR, Cert. Athletic Trainer thru BOC, Cert Non-Violent Crises Interv, State License Athletic Trainer
- Masters experience
- Masters degree
