Medical office position responsible for providing direct nursing care in a medical office setting under the direction of a physician, assists medical providers, and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the practice.

- Assists in the assessment of patient needs and health plan.
- Completes all necessary documentation in the patient s medical record in accordance with practice s charting policy.
- Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams and medical procedures.
- Arranges for specialized consultations and appointments for testing as ordered by the physicians.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEInclude minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.? High School Diploma or Equivalent; Graduate from Medical Assistant program preferred? At least 1 year of experience in a Medical Setting, preferable in a Physician Practice? Certified Medical Assistant through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), or the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)? EMR/EHR experience preferred, NextGen or Athena experience preferred? Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider required? Proficiency in a windows environment with a working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and the Internet is required? Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and employees? Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a complex, matrix environment
