Works under the supervision of the physician Office Manager RN and LPN. The certified medical assistant performs a wide range of clinical duties including assisting the physician in providing quality care in a medical office setting. The certified medical assistant must be able to demonstrate the knowledge required to provide age appropriate care for the patients served in the practice and skills to interpret assessment in relation to principles of growth and development over the life span. In addition the certified medical assistant must be knowledgeable of health insurance guidelines for preauthorizations and referral processes and be attentive to scheduling testing and specialist visits within network guidelines.

EDUCATION: Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE: One year of clinical medical office experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Medical Assistant Certification required. Current CPR Certification
