CHICAGO, IL-Wonderful parents in Bucktown/Wicker Park are seeking a PART-TIME NANNY ~37.5 hours/week to care for their active and energetic 4-year-old girl from 9:30am-5pm M-F (hours are flexible for the right candidate!). LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY. Their child has been in a Montessori Spanish immersion school prior to the COVID pandemic. Thus, they would love someone bilingual in Spanish and/or experienced in Montessori. It is a plus but not required! They are looking for a nanny who can keep her engaged and spend some time with her outside/getting exercise. Most importantly, they seek someone to take responsibility for creating structure in her day and continuing her education. They are ideally seeking an educator, someone who can prepare her for elementary school and further her learning, establishing reading and basic math. COVID-19 poses a bigger threat to their home than most, so they are seeking a nanny who is on the same page regarding social distancing and following CDC guidelines. They are very close to public transportation but cannot partner with a nanny who relies on public transportation during the pandemic. Must have own, reliable transportation. They seek a nanny who takes COVID-19 seriously and is willing to hold a high level of commitment to lifestyle adjustments that minimize our collective exposure as much as possible (not living with essential workers, keeping a close and safe social circle, etc.). Their daughter is very active, talkative, and energetic. She thrives on structure and needs to be challenged/have her energy directed constructively. She loves imaginative play. They seek someone who can match her energy level and keep an open line of communication with the parents. They prefer a live out candidate but have a spare bedroom if live in if desired. They manage a number of food allergies and our household is free from egg, nuts, and sesame. The family has a senior dog who is very low key and does not require care but is in the home—no pet allergies! Benefits include paid sick days, holidays and vacation. Start date is open for the right candidate. Pay is $22-25/hour.
