Huntington Ingalls Industries - Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) is currently seeking a Chief Research Scientist with quantitative analytical techniques to model foreign adversaries’ behavior with support in an onsite capacity.
Essential Job Responsibilities
+ Develop analytical methods to identify anomalies, statistical models to predict significant changes using advanced analytic methods such as ordinal logistic regression, copulas, LASSO/elastic nets, bootstrapping, and k-fold cross validation using R and related software packages.
+ Integrate data from a variety of sources, formats, and disciplines into coherent databases and write compelling documentation and reports for decision makers.

+ Knowledge of standard tools [e.g., the Agency Data Services Network (ADSN), iCE workstations, Microsoft Office, the Agency Internet Network (AIN), and the Microsoft Office software applications], as appropriate; and a demonstrated ability to learn to use and support other tools that may be added or developed as the program evolves.
+ Flexibility in assisting with ad hoc tasks and in adjusting as tasks are re-prioritized.
+ The successful candidate should have an advanced degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a related field (International Relations, computer science, mathematics, statistics, political science etc.). They should have the ability to perform complex modeling, statistical analysis (using R or related software packages) and the ability to create code and models to perform operations.
+ 5+ Years with Bachelors or 13+ Years with Masters or 10+ Year with Phd or JD or 5+ Years with MD or DVM or HS diploma + 20+ years of relevant experience.
+ Security Clearance Requirements: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI with Polygraph
