The Coder is responsible for accurately coding healthcare claims in order to obtain reimbursement from insurance companies and government healthcare programs. The Coder reviews medical documentation and assigns the appropriate procedure and diagnosis codes. The Coder will research inadequate documentation and rejected or denied claims to resolve issues.

High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
Coding Certification required. (CPS, CCS or RHIT)
One year of recent medical coding experience in an outpatient, clinic or hospital setting required.
Professional office setting. Approximately 6 months of training on site with the opportunity to work remotely from home after competencies and performance is evaluated and is meeting expectations. Remote location must be in states of Minnesota or Wisconsin.
