Required Education and Experience:High school graduate or equivalent required. One-year data entry experience; knowledge of medical terminology
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:Must possess basic office skills with the following equipment: copy and fax machines,10-key calculator. Must possess the ability to accurately type 30 wpm. Must possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills. Must be detail oriented. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision. Must be able to plan and prioritize work flow and produce an acceptable volume of work accurately.
Enters patient information into electronic medical records from questionnaires and other sources determined by EMR project.
Enters information with speed and accuracy. Productivity standards are 15 questionnaires enter per hour.
Indexes documents in to the patient�s medical records with speed and accuracy. Productivity standards are 135 patients indexed per hour with a % 0.5 percent error rate or less.
Prepares and compiles documents in batches for scanning for entry in to EMR.
As assigned works on special projects related to the Electronic Medical Record. When working on the patient deactivation project, productivity standards are 100 patients per hour.
Maintains a daily count of incoming questionnaires to be completed, sorts them as appropriate based on new patient. Provides to the supervisor on a daily basis the count of the completed tasks.
