We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to: - Ensure quality patient care through practice and the development and mentorship of nursing staff. - Assess staff and clinical practice needs to develop overall programmatic goals and objectives. - Participate in implementing management decisions that affect medical nursing practice. Education: Minimum – Master of Science Degree in Nursing Work Experience: Minimum – Three (3) years of relevant clinical nursing experience; clinical expertise in Medical/Surgical and Intermediate Care nursing. Experience in development, implementation, and evaluation of clinic programs Experience in clinical teaching within an education program or as a clinical preceptor/unit teacher Preferred – Experience in academic medical center Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Excellent interpersonal communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills - Ability to function with a high degree of independence while actively collaborating with health care members providing care for patients Physical Requirements: Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met. W ork Schedule: This is a full-time, 100% FTE position scheduled to work 40 hours per week. The scheduled shifts are generally Monday through Friday business hours, however there will be times that off shifts and weekends are needed for specific implementations. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
