Certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics, Medical Physics, or Radiation Oncology Physics is required for this position, though candidates on the path to board certification will be considered.
The Clinical Radiation Physicist will have the opportunity to work at a brand-new Radiation Oncology facility in the East Bay. The new facility features 4 linac vaults with varian true beams and 1 brachytherapy vault. This busy program performs 1,000 external IT courses, 400-500 stereopathic body radiation therapy courses, and 70-150 brachytherapy courses annually.
Reporting to the Chief Radiation Physicist, the Clinical Radiation Physicist will work alongside 3 other Clinical Radiation Physicists.
The Clinical Radiation Physicist will provide high radiation therapy treatments to patients in an environment that meets established standards for radiation safety. The Clinical Radiation Therapist will maintain their technical knowledge of new and developing technologies and regulatory issues.
