Job Description Summary
This full-time (40 hours) CRC position's priority will be the management of several, related trials that focus on transplanting HCV+ organs into recipients who do not have HCV. These studies have expanded the organ pool worldwide. It will involve data collection, study, & RA coordination, and regulatory upkeep & auditing, along with some administrative duties. The primary focus will be recruitment/enrollment and event monitoring. Our Lab's research is primarily focused on health behavior change, organ transplant disparities, and outcomes in patients at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). Research methods will include (but not limited to) retrospective data analyses, biological specimen collection, observational studies, interviewing, clinical trials, and coordinating other sites.This position is contingent upon funding.
The candidate should have experience with extraction of clinical data, basic study design, IRB/grant preparation and submission, clinical trial monitoring, adverse event reporting, study regulation, and database management. Comfort with a medical setting/terms, handling confidential patient information and biological specimens (e.g., urine), qualitative methods, and patient contact is greatly encouraged. Individual must be highly motivated, detail oriented, familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite/computer literate, and willing to learn technology used in health behavior change. Depending on experience and enthusiasm, the candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the design, conduct, analysis, and writing of clinical research studies along with the production of tables & figures. The ability to work harmoniously in a diverse group (doctors, residents, students, nurses) is paramount. Position contingent upon grant funding.
