About Children’s Minnesota
Children’s Minnesota is the seventh largest pediatric health system in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. An independent and not-for-profit system since 1924, Children’s serves kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, 12 primary and specialty care clinics and six rehabilitation sites. Additionally, Children’s is Minnesota's only Level I pediatric trauma center inside a hospital dedicated solely to children. In 2018 Children’s Minnesota was verified as a Level I Children’s Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons. Provides safe patient care as delegated by licensed nursing staff and maintains equipment and supplies per unit standard.
Completion of one clinical course of an RN program OR listed on the state's Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire date. This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another CSA position. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* One year of previous Nursing Assistant experience or equivalent experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
* Proficient communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills required.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English to perform functions of the position.
* Skills in basic computer operation.
