The Walden Street School is a 24-hour residential program for adolescent girls (12-22) who have experienced trauma or struggle with regulating their emotions in effective and safe ways. Students receive comprehensive care, which includes clinical, educational, medical, and 24-hour milieu support with the goal of helping students to reach their potential and achieve their individual goals.
Clinicians provide a variety of clinical services to those on their caseload, including individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, and assessment. Additionally, clinicians are responsible for maintaining positive relationships with outside agencies, families, and other involved parties. The clinician serves as an integral member of a student’s treatment team and works interdepartmentally to determine individualized recommendations for each student and implement those within the milieu. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and advocacy skills, flexibility, and ability to work on a team; additionally, there is a strong emphasis placed on non-traditional, more holistic approaches to therapy, and so the ideal candidate will bring creativity and passion to their clinical work.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work required
- Experience working with adolescents and their families
- Experience working in a residential setting preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to work collaboratively across a multi-disciplinary team
Bilingual bonus - Bilingual with the ability to read, write and speak in a language other than English proficiently. $500 after 3 months of successful employment, $500 after 6 months of successful employment.
