We are seeking a skilled individual to machine and fabricate various metal components for specialty valves and their parts. This experienced machinist
will set up and operate large CNC machining centers (i.e., Trevisan, E-Tower, DMU) in our modern manufacturing plant. Experience with multi axis and multi table sides machining essential.
Including but not limited to:
- Produces components safely and in a timely manner that meet quality standards and production schedule
- Demonstrates ability to use various precise measuring instruments and interprets readings to adjust process
- Verifies accuracy of work pieces and recommends changes to CNC programs
- Uses various hand tools and deburring equipment.
- Ability to learn fork truck and crane operation.
- Drives Company pickup truck occasionally to obtain parts (must possess valid driver’s license)
- Works second shift 3:25 p.m. to 11:55 p.m.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with two to three years of related experience.
Ability to read, to read and understand blueprints and work instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
The individual must be able to move about the facility and must be able to communicate with all employees.
