1st shift: 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday (with overtime as needed)
2nd shift:4:30pm to 3:00am Monday through Thursday (with overtime as needed) = 17% shift differential capped at $4.00
3rd shift: 7:30pm to 6:00am Monday through Thursday (with overtime as needed) = 17% shift differential capped at $4.00
The CNC Machinist position requires the operator to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specification. This position requires the machinist to be able to program, adjust, troubleshoot and understand all machine programming edits for new and repeat orders. This position will mentor Level I Machinists.
A machinist at this level is able to take a blueprint of a part and manufacture the part described. They are capable of laying out and tool checking new jobs to include developing the process, designing the tools, ordering the tools, programming the CNC, setting it up and running the parts with no assistance.
Program, set up and run all jobs within the department
Bring areas of non-conformance for parts and policies to Cell Leader's attention
Perform tool checks, order tooling and fabricate tooling prints
Promote good morale and productivity
Assist Cell Leader in training new employees
Increase production and streamline set ups for optimum efficiencies
Interact and communicate effectively with engineering and quality departments to solve difficult problems.
Ability to handle all aspects of SPC
Initiate SPC on difficult jobs to solve problems
Understand and use of all inspection equipment
Ability to understand all tooling and fixturing as required
Ability to order tooling as required
Ability to cope with difficult materials, along with maintaining any set up
Ability to train others to run all jobs within the department
Maintain an efficiency of 97.5%
Maintain a minimum of 90% set up efficiency on repeat jobs
Completes all other work related duties as assigned

Strong math background including Trigonometry
Advanced GD&T knowledge
High Level of mechanical aptitude
Ability to identify characteristics of different metals and their manufacturability
Ability to troubleshoot and solve on-going problems
Minimum of 5 years of experience as CNC Machinist
Technical Degree from a technical or trade school
