IT SPECIALIST III – Senior .NET Developer – #P4315
Salary: Negotiable Based on Experience
The Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Administration, Office of Information Services is seeking a qualified senior software developer to fill a key role on our systems modernization team designing and developing new applications. This position requires extensive experience in application development, including systems analysis, technical design, and software development. The selected candidate will need to have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to analyze business requirements and produce detailed technical designs for a wide range of innovative software solutions; develop and maintain code and configuration for complex software solutions utilizing the .NET toolset; instruct, mentor, and monitor less experienced staff in software design, development and operation using. NET tool set; evaluate the effectiveness of new technologies and application design approaches, as well as recommend and develop enhancements to technical standards, policies and procedures; and assist development teams to design high-quality technical solutions that fit the .NET application architecture and standards. Requirements for this position include:
- Advanced skills in .NET MVC Framework and application development experience with ASP .NET, C#, Web API
- Extensive knowledge of .NET development using Entity Framework, XML, JSON, web services, and SOA concepts, & GIT
- Knowledge of developing web applications for mobile devices
- Knowledge in Responsive UI design patterns and frameworks
- Working experience in IIS administration
- Ability to analyze, design, implement, and maintain IT applications and databases
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to mentor and lead small team
- Experience with object oriented programming methodologies
- Knowledge of relational databases
- Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle
- Ability to work in a team environment and individually
Qualifications preferred but not required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems or related field. A combination of education, experience, and training may substitute for a degree.
