We are seeking an applied scientist to help us develop advanced technology combat systems to defend our country's citizens and military assets. You will contribute to the advanced combat systems we develop to help ensure optimum capability of sensor networks and distributed weapons defending our nation against evolving and advancing threats. As a Combat Systems Post-Doctoral Fellow...
•Your primary responsibility will be applying your specialized knowledge in the applied sciences to craft creative solution frameworks to complex research problems.
•You will collaborate with engineers and scientists in a diverse team environment to develop combat system concepts and quantify their benefit for missile defense programs.
•You will present your findings to technical communities and publish your research in scientific journals.
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
•Have a PhD in physics, applied physics, or a related engineering field.
•Are skilled in Matlab and Python.
•Are an excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to engage audiences across diverse technical backgrounds.
•Work well in a multidisciplinary team environment.
•Are willing and able to travel 3-4 times a year for meetings and technical workshops.
•Are able to obtain Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
You'll go above and beyond our required qualifications if you...
•Have 2+ years of experience with sensor concepts, linear and nonlinear dynamics, exposure to stochastic systems and control and optimization theory.
