Constructive Insurance is an Independent Insurance Agency located in downtown Chicago. We are in search of a Commercial Insurance Sales Executive with experience in the Real Estate Owned commercial property and casualty markets, to sell an array of commercial property and casualty products with our established sales processes and procedures, and in pursuit of the Company’s goals and objectives.
The Commercial Insurance Sales Executive (CISE) will be tasked with achieving individual sales targets as well as meeting agency production requirements through outbound phone calls and other means of proactive sales activities. In this on-going sales role, the (CISE) continually works with referral sources or self-generated sales opportunities to fill and maintain a sufficient sales pipeline in order to quote, sell, and process insurance applications that exceed monthly sales goals. The (CISE) will be expected to issue profitable new business as well as service existing accounts to achieve maximum retention, compliance and profitability standards.
The (CISE) responds to customer inquiries and referrals that are generated from both lead procurement through Constructive Insurance, as well as self –sourced referring partners. The (CISE) will be responsible for building a client base by adding new clients, new lines of coverage, and growing current clients. The (CISE) is an effective negotiator, presenter, motivator, and relationship builder, who ensures exceptional customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of insurance underwriting guidelines, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics, complying with all Department of Insurance compliance policies and requirements.
The right individual for this position is someone who has at least 5 years of recent, REO Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance sales experience in an independent agency environment including knowledge of agency rating platforms and underwriting guidelines. This individual should also have at least 3-5 years of successful phone sales experience, preferably within the insurance marketplace. A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is also very helpful. This individual should have a thorough understanding of the insurance sales cycle as demonstrated by Insurance industry designations such as CIC, CISR, etc. Equally as important are motivation, a desire to succeed, good communication skills and a willingness to work hard.
• The applicant must possess an active Property and Casualty License and be willing to acquire additional state licenses as needed • Strong multi-tasking, self-management, and self-motivating skills • Proven ability to adapt to a changing environment while maintaining a positive mental attitude • Strong sales skills with proven track record of demonstrated success • Proficient computer and keyboard aptitude; familiarity with basic Office applications • Some college required. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Provide timely and accurate commercial property and casualty insurance quotes to customers via phone and email solicitations • Provide appropriate coverage options and discuss with client in detail • Meet company performance standards for compliance • Process requests for policy endorsements and amendments as requested • Proactively contact prospects for solicitation of insurance quotes • Obtains underwriting approval by completing accurate applications for coverage • Effectively utilize lead management system to properly track and effective manage leads provided on a daily basis. • Maintain high level of customer service by clearly communicating coverages of insurance policies, follow up, and always be available to answer questions • Maintains and follows compliance policy for Clean Desk Policy and insured sensitive information • Continue to always learn about new insurance programs and product/guideline updates • Proactively manage sales pipelines and attend internal sales meetings • Complete Continuing Education training to maintain active status of insurance licensing • Adhere to all corporate policies as well as internal, external and compliance guidelines
