The Commercial Loan Officer will be joining a bank that is looking to do deals. The right background and experience could lead this person to be hired in a managment capacity, possible Commercial Market Executive, Commercial Team Leader, City Executive, etc... Recent preference is for C&I deals but they love construction and real estate deals. Call on nearly any company in the local market from $5mm to $100mm or greater in revenues. This is an Relationship Manager role where the focus is on new business development and relationship management. The RM will need credit skills but credit and underwriting will provide as much support as needed. Mangement has done it's succession planning and is young and wants to take this bank to the next level. Richmond is one of three markets where they're concentrating on organic growth. Potential is here for the hiring of or "lift out" of a team.
The Commercial Loan Officer will need to have experience in the local Richmond, VA market. Build, develop and manage new and existing client relationships. Coordinate loan, deposit and fee income products and services appropriate to the needs of the client.
Candidates for the Commercial Loan Officer position should have a BS and at least 5 years on the line. Credit skills and knowledge of the local Richmond, VA market. Ability and experience sourcing credit opportunies, negotiatiating mutually agreeable terms, navigating the credit underwriting and approval process, documenting the loan and executing the closing. Prior managment experience is a plus.
