NVIDIAs PGI compiler team is looking to hire a Compiler Developer to work on development of a best-in-class optimizing C++ compiler. If working on compilers for high-performance computing (HPC) and drive the future of HPC C++, OpenMP and OpenACC, this is the job for you. You will have knowledge of C and C++ programming languages and be comfortable working on Linux. Ability to development production compilers required. Implementing one or more of OpenMP or OpenACC is a huge plus.
What we need to see:
Degree in Computer Science, ECE or related (Ph.D. or Masters preferred)
Assembly language programming skills
Knowledge of programming fundamentals, especially in C/C++, with a deep understanding of parallel computer architectures and optimizations.
Validated grasp in programming languages
8+ years of previous experience in development of production compilers
Strong knowledge of compiler internals, esp. compiler front-ends
Validated C/C++ programming skills with production system software
Knowledge of software engineering principles and standard methodologies
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- LLVM experience would be a huge plus
- EDG compiler front end experience
- Familiarity with C++, OpenMP, and OpenACC standards
- You have a real passion for compiler development
- Highly motivated with problem solving skills
