This role helps drive successful online content and customer experiences for Fluke Corporation, a brand-leading global manufacturer with a passionate customer base and a reputation for content excellence. The Content Writer and Editor will collaborate with multiple subject matter experts, marketers and designers to plan, write and publish optimized online content including blog articles, product application notes, white papers, case studies, scripts for marketing videos, and articles for media placement. We are looking for someone who's a strong writer, resourceful, great at figuring out "the angle," a good researcher, and who gets excited writing about science and technical topics. Responsibilities: + Concept, pitch and test story ideas, as well as, receive assignments. + Source, research and create original, high-authority content, ranging from short-form checklists to long-form articles, whitepapers and more. + Interview external customers and SMEs, following the story to conclusion. + Reshape, edit and optimize materials for web publication. + Collaborate with multimedia producers to script and create engaging video experiences and partner with illustrators and photographers to produce eye-catching infographics. + Showcase impactful writing and self-editing skills, including the ability to adapt voice/tone to a range of end-users, tell a compelling story, offer practical value and maintain technical accuracy. + Form and maintain relationships with internal clients and technical experts. + Work with marketing teams to ensure content meets business needs and complies with brand, SEO, and content development guidelines. + Collaborate with internal/external writers to improve readability + Stay abreast of web trends, technologies, viral marketing and the digital landscape + Participate in team analysis of content performance and contribute to best practices. + Use CRM and other internal tools to manage workflow. + 8+ years' professional experience in writing and editing, either in journalism or marketing, with at least five years in an online platform. + Portfolio of short-form and long-form content samples that you have written, edited, or contributed to, with documented success. If video, please supply both script and final product + Exceptional writing, verbal and editorial skills. + Self-starter and self-leader, with impeccable follow-through and respect for technical accuracy. + Top-notch researcher who excels at making technical concepts approachable and accessible. + Excellent communication and interviewing skills. Ability to connect with engineers, product marketing and industrial customers to get at the story angle, taking complex information and making it readable for a broader audience. + Must be comfortable presenting ideas to internal and external clients, receptive of feedback and deadline oriented. + Understanding of SEO algorithms, able to work within SEO framework and tools established by agency and internal stakeholders; demonstrated success using optimization to harness organic search. + Knowledge of new content tactics and emerging technologies including mobile consumption. + Excellent team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. + Strong balance of creative and analytical skills. + Must be comfortable in fast-paced environment and able to manage priorities well. + Strong competency with MS Word and PowerPoint, working knowledge of MS Excel, Google Analytics and Key word Planner; experience editing and workflow management within CMS platforms. + Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Communications or related field.
