Our client, a global manufacturing with a growing portfolio, is searching for a continuous improvement engineer with proven experience and results utilizing lean manufacturing techniques and methodologies.
The position requires the following:
Experience applying various quality tools and root cause analysis to solve problems.
Leadership of Lean initiative activities which includes leading small group activities and Kaizen events for measurable improvement in safety, quality, productivity and cost improvements.
Utilization of the Value Production Pillar, Lean Manufacturing principles and resources to drive rapid and effective change
Support experience for manufacturing operations by utilizing Production System concepts and tools (e.g. SMED, 6S, One Piece Flow, etc.)
Experience on driving towards set KPI’s to ensure process improvements, i.e. evaluate performance indicators and deriving optimization opportunities (e.g. OEE, quality), ensure capabilities are in place to effectively deliver performance targets
The ability to identify and share best practices across the different organizational departments
A person who fosters and sustains high performance teams and ensures strong alignment and coordination with other cross-functional teams
Solid project management experience and ability to work with all levels within an organization
High level organization skills with ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Experience and Skills:
Associates Degree or higher or equivalent experience; manufacturing, engineering and/or technology background preferred.
At least 3 years experience as a project manager working with lean projects
Demonstrated knowledge in manufacturing, assembly procedures, Lean-Tools and project management
Demonstrated knowledge in manufacturing management, quality tools and problem solving, root cause analysis and analytical methods
Experience with small batch, one piece flow, low volume production and/or custom orders is required.
Experience in a machine shop environment is a plus.
Strong knowledge in MS office tools and SAP experience
Black belt certification preferred
