Summary of Duties: As a Certified and LIcensed Massage Therapist, you will provide 30, 50, 75, and 90 minute massages for appointment holders. Take detailed histories from clients, including information about any injuries or conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, etc. Design sessions around clients' specific complaints or problem areas. Listen to clients during massages and adjust technique to meet their needs. Ensure massage room is always clean as well as hot stones, towel warmers, and counter tops, if used. Keep linens in stock and massage table made up with clean sheets.
Educational Requirements: High School Graduate or equivalent work experience. California Certified/Licensed Massage Therapist required. Must have completed 500 hours or more.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed Massage Therapist required and completion of certificate required. Oncology certified a plus. Must have a current two-million dollar Liability Insurance Policy; a city permit license through the City of Fremont is required. American Heart Basic Life Support certified required. Current TB and flu vaccinations are also required.
Experience Requirements: Two (2) years minimum as a Massage Therapist required. Knowledge of anatomy and working with a very diverse clientele base.
Special Skills or Abilities: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Ability to analyze situations and take appropriate actions.
Compensation: Competitive. NO tipping is allowed in this healthcare setting.
