The Coordinating Clerk, Supplies provides and assists in the daily ordering of surgical supplies and equipment, communicates with vendors and Materials Management regarding product requests, ordering, cost and disseminates this information effectively to the Team Leaders, Clinical Manager(s) and System Specialist.This is accomplished through clear communication with staff, team leaders, physicians, charge nurse and the Clinical Manager.
Who We Are
Recently recognized as a level 2 trauma designation, Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) has a state of the art surgical department with 15 OR suites, including 2 dedicated cardiac surgery suites and hybrid operating room. With 9-10 blocks per day, ARRMC performs approximately 10,000 cases per year with a variety of specialties. These specialties include: general/vascular, neurosurgery, total joint/orthopedics, bariatric surgery, trauma, ENT, plastics, urology and cardiothoracic surgery.
As a progressive surgical hospital, ARRMC performs robotic urological, gynecological and general surgery - and was one of the first in the state of Oregon to employ the use of the Mazor neurosurgical robot and to perform transcather aortic valve replacement (TAVR). ARRMC also performs Davinci Si and Xi robotic surgeries in general, urology and GYN specialties. As the region's referral center, serving nine counties, ARRMC is also recognized as a top cardiac surgery hospital in the Northwest performing approximately 600 heart cases and 400 lung cases per year.
Who You Are
·You have previous administrative experience within healthcare
·You are knowledgeable in basic computer programs such as Windows and Outlook
·You have mastered being able to prioritize the multiple tasks that come your way
·You have demonstrated time and again your commitment to customer service through teamwork and professional communication
What You'll Do
·You will provide and assist in the daily ordering of surgical supplies and equipment
·You will maintain communication with vendors and Materials Management regarding product requests, ordering, cost and in turn, disseminate this information effectively to team leaders, clinical managers and system specialist.
·Coordinate special equipment required from vendors and enters data into the appropriate database
·Review weekly surgery schedule with Orthopedic and Neurology team leaders and properly communicates any discrepancies or necessary follow-ups
What You Must Have
·High School Diploma or equivalent required
·Current knowledge of Medical Terminology required
·2 years' experience within a secretary/reception role within healthcare required
·1-2 years' experience within a Materials Management and/or Sterile Processing department required
·Previous experience with INFOR and EPIC systems preferred
