Note: This position will require driving as part of the duties. Driving could be up to 80 miles or so (up to the Vacaville campus). They can be dropping off a vehicle for maintenance, returning a demo vehicle to a dealership, picking up a vehicle in VV to transport it to the SSF auction, etc.
Transportation Fleet Coordinator
This role will support the Transportation Department, Fleet Services, which provides field employees across the US with a fleet vehicle or automobile allowance. The core values of the program are safety, sustainability, and employee satisfaction. Fleet Services provides innovative vehicle choices and outstanding service to employees who drive on behalf of the company for field related positions. A good portion of the coordinator's time will be spent directly engaging with field drivers to solve their problems and answer program questions. Managing driver compliance issues and program reporting are also key functions of this role. Coordinator will participate in marketing promotions such as new hire training, alternative vehicle driving events, and onsite/ offsite conferences. This individual is the primary contact for field employees on behalf of the fleet/allowance programs.
In addition to supporting the US Pharma fleet/ allowance programs for field employees, this fleet position will also serve as the primary coordinator for the South San Francisco campus onsite vehicle fleet. The fleet consists of over 100 vehicles supporting a variety of functions to keep the biotech campus in daily operation. The vehicles range from small sedans, emergency response vehicles, and all types of trucks. This coordinator will work hand in hand with fleet users to provide them excellent customer service so they can focus on their core responsibility. The coordinator will explore opportunities and present recommendations for future fleet enhancements while being flexible enough to manage the daily operations for the site fleet and work with a 3rd party fleet management company.
The Fleet Coordinator will report to the Sr. Program Manager who is responsible for the Fleet programs. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer service and strong communication, can celebrate small wins (that make a big impact for employees) and ready for the challenge of working in a fast paced environment.
