Charlies Produce Trading Company, (CPCT) is looking for a highly motivated, seasoned & driven Broker/Sales member to join our team.
CPCT is a fast-paced work environment that requires flexibility to service the needs of our customers & CPCT team members. This position will be responsible for sales & customer growth, supporting existing programs & contributing to the development of new items & programs. This team member will be coordinating the procurement and sales activities as a part of the CPTC team to ensure product lines are offered to current & potential customers. There will be a focus on addressing the needs and ensuring the satisfaction of both our customers & vendors partners. These activities include assigned customers & vendors as well as internal company team members.
We offer a base Salary and bonus based on performance goals.
LOCATION: Seattle, WA
Essential Functions Include but Not Limited To:
Development of new customers & sales growth of existing customers.
Has knowledge of product line, prices & similar data as required
Pricing strategies—developing price/order guides
Keep abreast of market conditions & new items
Contacts suppliers to negotiate & acquire product for sale
Maintains effective communications with other buyers & sales representatives for product sales.
Meeting all individual, department sales & profit objectives.
Maintain effective, professional relationships with customers, vendors, & fellow Team members.
Some travel required.
Desired Minimum Qualification:
Existing book of business or customer base a big plus.
Three to five years produce experience.
Commodities knowledge including vegetables & fruits.
Effective interpersonal skills to communicate.
Retail & wholesale produce experience a plus.
Sales / purchasing experience in perishable commodities.
