A larger publicly traded global manufacturer in Fairfield county is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join their team. The Senior Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing and advising on creditworthiness of customers in the Americas, as well as recommending credit lines.
The hiring manager is looking for someone who has a passion for credit, and who ideally has worked in a large manufacturing environment.

•Handles large and complex credit relationships in the Americas.
•Minimizes bad-debt write-offs by accurately assessing new or existing customer's credit worthiness in relation to credit policy.
•Establish customer credit limits that appropriately balance the risks and rewards of transactions and relationships.
•Prepare credit summaries, reports and analysis on payment performance, credit exposures, credit limits and key credit metrics for presentation to management.
•Evaluates adherence to credit policy, validation of reporting and ongoing assessment of credit policy effectiveness.
•Escalates customer AR issues to internal partners.
•Partners with sales support, customer service and accounts receivable in reconciling accounts.
•Assists in the development and maintenance of credit policies, procedures and underwriting standards based on best practices, internal/external control standards and compliance requirements.
•Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of automated tools, such as credit scoring models.
•Shares best practices and information within the credit community
•Manages workouts and payment plans for large past due customers in collaboration with internal legal, commercial and operations personnel.
•Demonstrated leadership experience in large organizations
•Experience working within a large, multi-national company serving commercial customers
•Degree in in Finance, Economics or Accounting
•Experience working in the industrial, capital goods or manufacturing sectors
•Strong partnering skills with commercial, finance and operations teams
•Process management experience with proficiency in process improvement
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Proven ability to solve complex problems
