Agency Management Analyst

Very unique position with the Police Department - Major Crimes Bureau (MCB) is seeking a contractor analyst who would be imbedded within the Cold Case Section at Public Safety Headquarters and work full-time. The contractor analyst would be responsible for advanced and specialized case management and tracking of all FCPD assigned cold cases, including unsolved homicides and assigned unsolved sex assault crimes. The contractor analyst would work with MCB detectives and commanders with information sharing and would be responsible for pattern and problem analysis, advanced intelligence analysis and specialized geographic profiling. The contractor analyst would be responsible for close coordination with the PD Media Relations Bureau and the Crime Solvers program and coordinate received tips. In addition, the analyst would review case files in cooperation with section staff to analyze data to detect suspect patterns, suspects and trends to support case close or determine additional investigative strategies. This position would be supervised by the MCB second lieutenant assigned to the Cold Case Section.
- Years of Experience: highly qualified candidates will have five or more years experience.

- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • 30% LEADS AND PROVIDES GUIDANCE TO THE COLD CASE SECTION REGARDING DATA TO DETECT SUSPECT PATTERNS AND TRENDS TO SUPPORT CASE CLOSURE OR DETERIME ADDITIONAL INVESTAGTIVE STRATEGIES. • 30% PROVIDES A TRACKING SYSTEM TO MONITOR ALL ACTIVE FCPD COLD CASES. • 20% PROVIDES ADVANCED/SPECIALIZED CRIME ANALYSIS WORK ON SPECIFIC COLD CASE INVESTGATIONS ASSIGNED. • 20% SERVES AS AN INFORMATION RESOURCE FOR COLD CASE STAFF/MCB COMMAND FOR DATA OR CASE SHARING WITHIN THE MCB, MRB and PATROL BUREAU. Must be committed to the job and be available for all the days of the week and those hours in the day.
