Under the direction of the Chief Technologist and Medical Director of Radiology performs CAT Scan examinations as ordered by the attending physician. Develops and prepares film for interpretation, maintains patient and departmental records, maintains supplies and equipment. Performs other related duties.
Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program
ARRT registered in good standing
Current State of Florida License
Current BLS Certification
Skills and Abilities
Excellent Customer Service Skills in order to project a positive image of the department and hospital.
Must have a good working knowledge of anatomy, understand principles of physics, electricity, and methods of exposure to obtain clearly defined radiographs; and be able to set up and operate CAT Scan equipment. Must have working knowledge of equipment that will be used in a modern Radiology Department. Must know how to process radiographs. Should have sufficient knowledge of psychology, patient care, and sterile technique to deal with all types of conditions of patients. One (1) year experience as a radiologic technologist. Six (6) years OJT experience preferred.
