Penn Medicine is looking for a Customer Service Representative in our Contact Center
Summary of Accountabilities:
The Customer Service Representative—Contact Center is responsible for answering telephone calls to the Penn Medicine Contact Center from consumers and healthcare providers. The CSR will assist the caller in navigating the Penn Medicine Health System by providing information and access to Penn Medicine providers, programs, services, educational seminars, events and resources. The CSR performs outbound calls for the Web Marketing campaigns and pennmedicine.org submissions. The CSR will utilize Marketing cross sells as part of the caller engagement to promote preventative health services and other programs, initiatives and events. The CSR completes intake for international patient requests and forwards to Penn Global Medicine. The CSR also assists referring healthcare providers with real time consultations with Penn Medicine providers. The CSR processes all calls and documentation via an interactive software program
Degree Requirements and Minimum Experience Required:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience strongly preferred
• Previous experience within Penn Medicine is preferred
• Previous work in health care setting is preferred
• Ability to work quickly while making accurate decisions
• Pleasing telephone voice, good diction, acceptable grammar, good spelling, professional
• Medical terminology is strongly preferred
• Managed care knowledge preferred
• Experience with telephone consoles, computer technology and software programs
•Previous experience with the public (verbal and written interactions)
The position hours would be 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
