We are seeking a Cyber Information Assurance Analyst to join AFRL PRsISM contract in Albuquerque, NM.
The PRS of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) is the United States Air Force's (USAF) focal point for directed energy and space and missile related research and technology. PRS is comprised of two technical directorates of the AFRL: Space Vehicles Directorate (RV) and Directed Energy Directorate (RD). The PRS Chief Information Officer (CIO) provides information technology support for these two directorates. This includes operation of a widespread and heterogeneous computing environment to include Windows/Unix/Linux servers; Windows based personal computers of various manufacture, and Windows and UNIX/Linux-based workstations connected by a Local Area Network (LAN), USAF mobile devices such as laptops, tablets and iOS devices. The PRS CIO is responsible for providing computing resources, information technology, web-based applications development, integration, and support services to the RV and RD Directorates. The objective of this requirement is to provide comprehensive information technology services. Included in this objective is the integration and maintenance of PRS communications/computer systems in compliance with defense information infrastructure instructions, standards, and architectures.
- Analyze enclaves and systems to determine compliance with DoD and industry best practices, security configuration requirements, and controls
- Configure and execute network vulnerability and STIG compliance scans on standalone and enclave systems
- Review and recommend firewall, DNS, and associated perimeter defense controls
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, and network systems
- Basic programming language experience a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work independently as required.
Three to Five years of progressively responsible cybersecurity experience including recent experience with Nessus and SCAP scanning applications. Candidates should have some technical experience or basic understanding of the following areas:
DoD Cybersecurity Tools
SIEM Analysis and Configuration
Windows Operating Systems
Linux Operating Systems
Network Infrastructure Components
Microsoft Office Applications
Applicant should be able to work autonomously, diplomatic, capable of multi-tasking, and must be dependable and reliable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred, or experience in lieu of degree; High School diploma required if no existing higher education diplomas
- Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher
- DoD 8570 IAT-II Certification required (or higher)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification a plus
- DoD 8570 IAM-II Certification also a plus, and can replace IAT-II certification requirement (or higher)
