VSolvit is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to assist our Cybersecurity team and our DoD customers. Cybersecurity Analyst shall assist the Cybersecurity Manager in working with the Government Contracting Officers’, the task order-level Task Order Managers, Government management personnel and customer agency representatives. Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining security compliance for DoD Tactical Operating Systems and related support applications. Provide Cybersecurity systems administrator support to measure cybersecurity compliance of the operating system and support software; develop and implement security mitigations to reduce the risk of non-compliant controls.
Summary:
A Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for the daily oversight of computer systems for Cyber compliance. This position is a member of the Cybersecurity Workforce and must be able to achieve and maintain trusted access to critical systems per current DoD directives. Duties will include scanning systems for Cyber vulnerabilities, Patching and implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) on systems to maintain compliance, documenting system changes and maintaining current system accreditation paperwork.

Responsibilities:
- Monitors the status of required updated and STIGS
- Monitors the status of system vulnerabilities
- Identifies likely threat vectors and assesses risk
- Produces weekly reports identifying discrepancies, changes and forecasts
- Tracks milestones, scheduled completion dates, and resources required
- Identifies compliance discrepancies and resource gaps
