Data Engineer - Revenue Reconciliation

Job Description:

This client processes more than 2 million transactions per month and volume is increasing. They are also expanding into other countries such as Brazil, Mexico and Germany. Addition of new country/currency increases complexity in revenue reconciliation and it is required to modify existing code base to integrate following new processes in existing revenue reconciliation process:

Duties:

• Addition of currency base reconciliation
• Addition of cash source in existing financial reporting
• Integrating other payment processors in existing reconciliation
• Invoice transaction to bank cash reconciliation
• Cash flow reporting for top partners
• Integration of transaction fees in cash reconciliation
• Integration of chargebacks in cash reconciliation
• Financial dashboard
• Billing dashboard with reconciliation
• Revenue JE Automation

Desired Skills/ Experience

• Financial acumen/background knowledge is needed: journal entries, credits, fees.
• 5-7 years of experience (flexible)
• Experience in a high transaction environment
• Understanding of root cause analysis, regression testing, validation of results, data mining
• Scripting in SQL or Python
• MySQL Server
• Experience with Hive
• HUGE PLUS – Transactions payments background (understanding settlement time frames, etc.)
