Job Knowledge and Responsibilities (Essential Duties)
Provide initial and ongoing training/guidance to deli associates in areas of customer service, safety and security, equipment operation, cash control, and inventory control.
Perform specific tasks as assigned by the Food Service Director, Retail Operations Director, or Store Manager.
Operate the deli within company guidelines to achieve sales and profit goals.
Accurately post sales, invoices, markups and markdowns, voids, and bad food write-offs within established guidelines.
Prepare shift reports on a daily basis and enter proper information into the computer for transmission on a daily basis.
Project a positive image of the company, store, and deli at all times.
Work in a team-like fashion with other employees to accomplish goals and tasks.
Give all customers prompt and courteous service and ensure that deli employees do the same.
Remain current with the Personnel Manual, bulletins, memos, and other company information.
Ensure proper sale and accounting for money during shifts, as described in the Operations Manual
Ensure all shifts are adequately covered. Meet allowed budgeted hours weekly and year to date.
Administer disciplinary action to deli associates who are not working within the company guidelines.
Perform annual performance reviews with deli associates.
Maintain a clean safe environment by adhering to all food safety standards.
Required Qualifications
At least 16 years of age.
Two years’ food preparation experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
