The Director of Demand Marketing, Professional Services is responsible for creating, executing and measuring demand generation programs that drive sales of Medidata’s Professional Services offerings for the Life Sciences industry. This position works closely with internal marketing groups and the PS Sales organization. This high visibility role will interface with sales and marketing leadership as well as executive client leadership. It will require exceptional creativity, the ability to innovate, and a “hands-on” approach to accomplish the work.
Establish relationships with the senior marketing leadership team Alliances partners
Work closely with Alliances partners to create strategic marketing plans built on the joint value proposition between the partner’s offerings and Medidata’s products and services
Engage the PS Sales team in annual and quarterly planning to determine programs and activities to achieve business and revenue objectives
Create strategic marketing plans supporting the adoption and uptake of PS offerings
Execute demand generation programs and integrated marketing campaigns utilizing a variety of techniques including Business Development programs, email, webinars, social media initiatives, digital marketing and inbound marketing programs
Collaborate with product marketing and marketing communications to create marketing assets such as data sheets, customer reference stories, sales enablement tools, videos, ROI analysis, social media awareness and “air cover”, earned press, press releases, and other external communications
Ensure that PS offerings are properly integrated within demand programs for related products
Serve as the PS Demand Marketing point-of-contact on cross-functional marketing efforts
Measure and report performance against established metrics
Up to 20% travel; mostly US regional-based
Knowledge and experience in building and executing marketing plans and programs utilizing email and other outbound tactics, webinars, digital/inbound marketing, social media and face-to-face events
Ability to devise new and innovative communication methods and assets to articulate Medidata Professional Services messages and value propositions to customer accounts
Ability to be innovative with program creation and problem resolution
Deep knowledge and understanding of marketing tools, processes, and execution of workflows in order to define, track, and report KPIs for co-marketing activities
Experience interfacing with all levels in a Sales organization including account executives, technical consultants, regional managers, and senior leadership
Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills to bring together stakeholders from disparate functional groups to enable program creation, support, and execution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously
Your Education & Experience:
Requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience
Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B field marketing, demand generation, or marketing program role supporting a direct sales force in the enterprise software industry; or equivalent years of experience
Experience working with Alliance partners e.g., Accenture, Cognizant, WiPro is desirable
Life Sciences experience is desirable
