Dental Assistant
An ADP Client, Horizon Family Dental Care is actively seeking for a Dental Assistant to join their team in Hanover, MD 21076.

Position Summary
Efficient, flexible, and reliable Dental Assistant with great clinical and communication skills; team player; is engaged with the practice philosophy. The Dental Assistant works as a team member with the dentists and the hygienists to promote the overall health of the patient.
Responsibilities:
● Prepare examination and surgical rooms by sterilizing instruments and moving equipment into place
● Assist in updating and maintaining client dental records
● Perform routine dental cleanings and assist in the performance of more complicated surgical procedures
● Provide support to dentists, surgeons and staff as needed
● Offer patients advice and materials necessary to maintain good dental health
● Prevent the spread of infection and disease by maintaining a surgically clean work environment
Key Qualifications/Requirements:
Education/Certifications
● Radiology Certification required
● Dentrix Software knowledge is preferred
● iTero Digital scanning experience is preferred
● Excel at managing and maintaining the schedule
● Build relationships with patients with "get to know you" conversation
● Be efficient with sterilization and disinfecting and preparing operatories
● Expanded functions certification preferred with at least 1 year of experience
● Experience with restoring implants is preferred
