Essential Job Duties:
The Developer, Financial Applications Development will develop and maintain the PeopleSoft Financial System. The Developer focuses on general ledger, asset management, contracts and grants, post award, billing, and accounts receivable. The Developer is a senior role that will work with the IT Manager, Project Lead, Team Members, and functional offices in order to implement advanced and highly complex software solutions with minimal supervision. The Developer is an expert in both functional business process understanding and advanced technical solutions. In addition, the Developer will provide senior-level technical production support, designs and develops system enhancements and new applications, performs system testing and writes and maintains technical specifications and documentation.
Bachelor's degree with nine credit hours in programming and three years of experience in Business Applications Consulting or Development; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Departmental Required Skills:
Knowledge of/experience with PeopleSoft Financial System application development. Ability to independently, quickly, and efficiently identify and solve technical problems that can impact a large number of customers. Ability to combine strong technical knowledge with a strong understanding of customer requirements to offer customer solutions to problems in a very practical, timely and efficient manner. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Thorough understanding of the project development life cycle, including but not limited to application analysis, development, testing, documentation, approval and post migration validation. Attention to detail and ability to form strong relationships between team members, customers, and management is essential.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Three or more years of experience with PeopleSoft Financial System application development. Specialization as an applications developer with PeopleSoft Financials version 9.2. Skills creating SQR's, Application Engine, EOAW, and fluid development are preferred.

Enterprise Application Services (EAS) is in the Office of Information Technology (OIT) division at North Carolina State University. EAS is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, enhancement & maintenance of the University’s enterprise business applications. This includes: development, operation & maintenance of all enterprise administrative systems (Advancement, Financials, HR, Portal and Student Information Systems, etc.), configuration management, maintenance, enhancements, and application integration.
