Statement of Purpose:
Under the direct supervision of the Diet Supervisors, the Dietary Aide performs a variety of food service, dish room duties and cash handling duties as well as other related activities.
Education: Ability to read, write, speak & understand English at the 8th grade level.
Food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
Must have good positive, interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to read & comprehend patient meal ticket information in English –food items, name, room #
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment- Possess stamina to constantly make trips up & down
to patient floors, delivering / retrieving trays, floor supplies, etc. throughout the shift
Ability to stand throughout the shift while performing duties. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in English.
Hospital differentials are: $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
