a+u (Architecture & Urbanism) magazine is looking for an enthusiastic, comprehensive and self-starter Content Manager to join our team in our recently established Seattle Office.
a+u Publishing Inc. is our first America based office for a+u, the world leading architectural magazine in Japanese and English that provides information on architecture around the globe to a global readership.
An ideal Content Manager will have an excellent understanding of our publication and its branding in the world of architecture.
A positive attitude and willingness to expand our presence in the U.S. market and the digital world are essential to your role. You will be a relentless problem solver and will continuously be assessing and resolving both simple and complex challenges.
The candidate will work within our Marketing team and play a vital role in the following, mainly covering the entire North America region;
- Develop and implement print/digital marketing plans for promotions and sales opportunities.
- Assist the director in plan and execution of database and digital development project.
- Web content management and maintenance.
- Work closely on SEO and PPC Strategy to implement effective campaigns.
- Assist in the development of strategic and tactical marketing initiatives and plans, including strategies for search engine optimization, social media, and e-commerce website.
- Support the organization and coordination of event logistics and promotions.
- Collaborate with our global cross-functional teams to localize content for website and collateral.

BA/BS degree in marketing, journalism, global business, brand strategy, communication, or related field
2+ years of marketing/sales/web content managing experience. (in publication or architecture industry preferred but not required)
Desired experience range: From intern level to some experienced
Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of HTML, web page editing skill
Experience and knowledge of SEM/paid search, SEO, digital display ads, content creation, and social media advertising tactics
Strong understanding of primary Social Networking Service and Youtube
Understanding and interest in architecture/design highly preferred
Excellent composition skill
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proficiency in InDesign preferred
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Ability to work individually and on cross-functional teams
Strong critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills
