Digital Content & Social Media Specialist
ECS marketing team seeks a driven, self-motivated, and thoughtful storyteller to produce social media content and articles. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team lead by the VP of marketing and communications, you will apply your exceptional writing, editing, research, and interviewing skills to gather, organize, formulate and present content tailored to audiences ranging from technical engineers to executives, with the majority in the government sector.

We have many communication tools that will allow you a flexible schedule and an opportunity to telework part of the week and spend the remainder at our offices in Fairfax, VA. Regardless of location, we will count on your availability and responsiveness during core work hours and your in-person attendance at our team meetings, local events, and conferences.
Your experience should directly relate to the following list of responsibilities required of this role:
Conceive and write original, high-quality, and on-brand content for social media platforms and our website
Oversee ECS' social media calendar and keep a balance of topics while maintaining a post schedule in sync with current events, conference, and key dates
Curate and strategically repost the latest news, mentions relevant to ECS, its solutions and partners
Engage ECS' online community by responding to comments and messages to facilitating discussions when appropriate
Develop, oversee, and track the results of paid social media campaigns, including Google Ads
Gather industry information through interviews, workshops, and independent research
Create internal campaigns to highlight ECS culture and engage employees
Explore new trends and topics and research competitors
Work effectively, quickly, and accurately
Collaborate with diverse and geographically dispersed teammates and subject matter experts
Exceptional writing skills demonstrated by samples. Experience in IT marketing is highly desirable
Expert user of social media platforms to include LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
Flawless at grammar, punctuation, and usage
Comfortable learning and writing about technical topics, for less-technical audiences
Excellent interviewer / listener / note-taker / researcher
Self-driven and skilled at managing and balancing priorities
Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, or other relevant program
3+ years writing experience in business-to-business and/or business-to-government advertising, PR, or marketing communications
Samples to demonstrate experience in the areas of responsibility such as social media posts, publishing calendar, and other communication collateral - required
