Summary Description: Liberty Power is a retail electricity provider selling electricity to residential and commercial customers in 13 states. Liberty Power is seeking a Marketing Manager with a strong operations orientation to join its entrepreneurial and highly collaborative management team at its Corporate Headquarters in South Florida and to immediately provide thought leadership and leverage his/her experience and problem solving skills in an area that has a significant impact on the company. As part of Liberty Power’s Marketing Team, the Marketing Manager will oversee and lead operational support and project management of Liberty Power’s product & service offerings across multiple customer segments (residential, small to medium-sized business (“SMB”), and Large Commercial & Industrial (“LCI”)). Central to this function is ownership of the creation and upkeep customer-facing documents (including contracts), as well as management of marketing personnel, and process oversight. This role is accountable for ensuring successful market operations in alignment with regulatory compliance, business process adherence, and consistency across all modes of acquisition, while optimizing cost and efficiency. The selected candidate will also oversee the implementation of the company’s strategic marketing initiatives including, but not limited to product and market development, internal communications and external communications, public relations, brand messaging, event planning and support, promotional marketing/campaign management, incentives and rewards, digital media content, and creative development. He or she will coordinate and work closely with Sales, Legal, IT, and Digital Marketing, as well as other cross-functional teams. In this role, there is a material emphasis at this time on “Marketing Operations.” Examples of activities in this category include: a) documentation: development or edit of contracts/terms and conditions, sales script reviews and revisions; training guide development and updates, welcome and renewal notices generation and revision, and other marketing and compliance documentation; b) plan implementation: product/program launches; c) process implementation or changes (as required to adhere to changing regulations or company’s strategy & tactics). Other core Marketing functions, such as Demand & Lead Generation, Market Analysis, Brand Management are also supported through this role, when needed. Mission: To implement the marketing strategy, plans, and goals in conjunction with the Director, Marketing across the organization to achieve the expected outcomes. Main Responsibilities: •Develop and/or modify contract documents in response to regulatory changes or business processes •Oversee personnel responsible for legacy Document Management system and related processes •Assist with development of new product and markets launches •Assist in the development and execution of go-to-market strategies •Oversee creative development of marketing materials •Lead the development and maintenance of customer-facing communications, voice verification scripts, sales scripts, and training documents •Ensure all internal & customer-facing communications are coordinated and reflect Liberty Power's brand standards, marketing plan objectives, and are compliant with regulatory requirements •Support content creation for social media platforms •Coordinate closely with sales to develop and implement product promotions and sales incentive campaigns to drive sales production while achieving a positive ROI •Support Liberty Power’s brand presence at relevant events/trade shows •Accountable for strong project management capabilities and prioritization; managing against timelines •Provides marketing skill and expertise to the company by building, developing, and managing a marketing team capable of carrying out Liberty Power's marketing strategy and tactics •Establish collaborative relationships between the marketing team and other functional areas, namely, sales, legal, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, pricing, IT and operations •Work collaboratively with outside agencies/vendors to achieve marketing plan objectives within budget parameters Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: •Experience with Marketing fundamentals •Experience with technical writing or content development required •Experience with Document Management systems and processes is a plus •Experience in Retail Electricity markets is preferred •Understanding and familiarity with back-office operations and processes required to deploy new products •Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results driven, team-oriented environment •Ability to operate as a project manager, coordinating information and resources of multiple functional areas •Strong multi-tasking skills; ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects and meet deadlines •Takes initiative and follows-through on commitments to achieve results •Experience in training and development of department staff to meet performance standards •Experience in managing design and advertising agencies •Experience in event planning •Resourceful at achieving objectives/results despite obstacles •High energy and a self-starter; has a high capacity for work and effectively handles pressure of a fast-paced environment •Ability to work independently; willingness to do things themselves •Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills •Excellent attention to detail Education/Experience: •A minimum of 5 years marketing experience •A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing a diverse team of people •BS degree in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent Computer Skills: •MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint •Familiarity with Document Management systems and processes is a strong plus •Working knowledge of Web Content Management Systems (Word Press), a plus •Working knowledge of Social Media Platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), a plus •Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.) a plus |
