CBS Corporation is seeking an experienced writer/reporter to be part of the corporate communications editorial team and cover a wide range of important stories within the Company. This candidate will be a fast and accurate writer with an eye for digital content and a proven ability to seek out and develop compelling stories. Responsibilities include writing press releases, internal communications, and news content for the Company meant to educate and inform all CBS Corporation employees. Candidate must have experience working in a newsroom and/or with tight deadlines. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Gathering, pitching, reporting, and writing content for the Company, including breaking news. * Writing press releases, internal communications, including the Company newsletter, and memos . * Building relationships across divisions and collaborating with internal creative/editorial teams.
QUALIFICATIONS: * Position requires at least 5-7 years relevant experience at a network, station or media organization or similar experience in a newsroom. * Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. * Person must be extremely organized and have strong writing skills. * Must be a motivated self-starter who is able to work independently as well as in a team environment. * Ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt is necessary.
