Provides leadership for business development, and related financial/business analysis. Identifies and qualifies potential business development opportunities, including practice acquisition, physician employment, new programs and new services. Perform due diligence in partnership with Planning, Payer contracting, Finance, Real estate, Legal, Compliance, Information Technology, Construction and other necessary partners. May be asked to negotiate terms of deals. Identify and coordinate with operational areas impacted by new opportunities, ensuring a seamless hand off and implementation.
Essential Job Functions:
Prepare board recommendations as needed by the Board delegation policy
Negotiate terms as delegated.
Develops business cases, financial proformas, and performance assessments of business opportunities.
Coordinates new program implementations, as needed.
Routine and ad hoc meetings with staff, department managers, physicians and Administrative Council
Collaborate with hospital administration regarding policy or procedures related to business strategy, business development and provide recommendations accordingly
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with multi-disciplinary teams
Collaborates with outside professional contacts around improvements in the administrative processes for managed care contracting and related issues
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
Bachelors degree w/emphasis in Business or Finance
4 years of management or leadership experience
Experience with medical industry operations and/or medical insurance
Experience with financial analysis and an understanding of financial statements and relationships
Experience with project management, change management and process improvement methods
Experience with facilitation, conflict resolution, problem-solving and analytical skills
Performs work within strict quality, budget, and timing guidelines, striving for efficiency and efficacy, and identifies opportunities for process improvement
DESIRED for the position:
MBA or MHA with emphasis in either Business or Finance
